In the Western Cape the climate is Mediterranean, the culture is cosmopolitan and the countryside absolutely beautiful. Most relevant to us though is the number of Lawn Bowls clubs with world standard greens, the genial hosting at the clubs and of course good bowling conditions.

Bowls Bias Tours are committed to providing fellow bowlers with an experience which will live in their memories for a long time and have them coming back again and again. The tours are a mix of lawn bowls and tourist activities which will appeal to young and old. Read a bit more About Us and check out an itinerary here

We will tailor tours to suit travellers in groups of 4 or more, or one can simply join an established tour such as the Whale Tour, Vineyards Tour or the Wildflower tour and meet new friends.

Some of the attractions Cape Town and surrounds has to offer are wine farms for wine tasting, micro-brewery tours, cable car up Table Mountain, the famous V&A Waterfront, jackass penguins walking around Boulders Beach in Simonstown, Cape Point Nature Reserve and of course the world famous heritage site Kirstenbosch Gardens to name just a few.

Most Southern Tip of Africa

I decided that I would try and highlight a different bowls club each week, and where better to start than the very Southern Tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas.
The lawn bowls club was established in 1994 with the very first president being P. De Kock. Situated below the lighthouse within a stones throw of the ocean, it is an absolute treat to spend an afternoon bowling followed by sun downers on the veranda. There is only one green, and the club has a relatively small number of members mainly being retired people who have moved out of the hustle and bustle of city life.
